Plot
Witches suddenly declare war against humans, causing the world to fall apart. Two-thirds of the world fell under their rule. Surviving countries united and gathered people with the power to combat the witches. These individuals are called Witch Hunters.
Tasha Godspell, a Witch Hunter, nicknamed "The Magic Marksman" along with his "Jack-o'-lantern"-looking Supporter hunts witches but cannot bring himself to hate them. His main purpose is to find his master and his father's killer --- his younger sister who transcended into a witch and turned her back.
Terminology
- Witches: Witches are the primary enemy of the series, most witches live in castles. Witches originally start as women or girls who have the potential to use magic and awaken, gaining a hat. Once they become witches, their personalities generally change, although there are exceptions.
- Supporters: Supporters assists their master in battle and reduce the amount of mana needed for spells for witches via a contract. There are two classes of supporters, A Normal one and a Spiritual one. Spiritual supporters only die when the witch dies and require nearly no mana.
- If the supporter is stronger than the witch, then they may break them. They also have a heart that receives mana and if destroyed they die as well. Humans can also be turned into supporters.
- Witch Hats: Witch's mana are stored in their hats and as such this is a witch's most treasured possession. As magic in the hats run out, the witches original personality surfaces.
- Mana: Allows witches and others to use magic. It's considered a poison to normal people, destroying their sanity and body, but it does not affect women (Human or not).
